The challenge – unstructured operations & complex MedTech compliance requirements

Our customer implemented Odoo from scratch to set up a sustainable process structure that would grow with the company. Their goal was to optimize their customer journey while meeting industry-specific compliance requirements. 

To effectively streamline their entire operations, our customer had to implement varied solutions to tackle critical challenges:

  • Lack of Centralized System: Our customer required a functional ERP system that could sustain their ongoing growth trajectory.
  • High Medtech Regulatory Demands: Industry regulations required detailed production tracking and documentation for medical devices under EU MDR. Our customer needed a system that could handle these strict standards.
  • Evolving Employee Training Needs:  With new MedTech standards for employee training and certifications, our customer’s existing eLearning system fell short. They had difficulties ensuring, monitoring, and confirming the completion of required courses.

The solution – implementing Odoo 15 to meet MedTech regulations & manage full product life cycles

We set out to help our customer establish their Odoo environment from the ground up. They aimed to make the most of integration capabilities to optimize their delivery handling process and subsequent overview. They also leveraged Odoo functionalities to streamline their business cycle, from sales to product support. Adding to these benefits, they further sought to ensure compliance with mandatory tracking of eLearning courses..

1. Implementation of Odoo Enterprise apps

We introduced various Odoo 15 applications such as CRM, Sales, Inventory, Purchasing, Project, Timesheets, eLearning, Recruitment, Time Off, Planning, Helpdesk, Appraisals, Approvals, Employees & Contract and Accounting & Invoicing to support our customer in executing the following implementations:

  • Optimizing Traceability and Feedback: We helped our customer implement device handling processes to ensure that every step in the product life cycle is documented and tracked.
  • Increasing Project Management Overview: We implemented an Odoo-based project tool with extended Gantt functionalities to enable our customer to keep a good overview of long project cycles.
  • Streamlining Sales Cycle: We equipped our customer with an extended CRM info system for lead and meeting management to handle long sales cycles.
  • Enforcing eLearning Compliance: We helped streamline course tracking for our customer and integrated automated reminders with Odoo, ensuring all mandatory training was completed on time.
  • Implementing Customer Support: We helped our customer tailor their internal helpdesk to meet their specific needs. This allowed them to better support their clients in the sales, installation and maintenance of their products.

2. Seamless Odoo integrations with 3rd-party systems

We developed a seamless Odoo interface with our customer’s 3PL (Third Party Logistics) provider that strengthened their logistic operations, ensuring a smooth delivery handling to their clients.
