Everything we know about the Odoo 20 AI roadmap

Odoo 19 introduced native AI tools to the ecosystem. In Odoo 20, AI agents will do the brunt of the work, leaving only the final review and approval to the humans.

Here are all confirmed and expected AI features in Odoo 20:

 General & cross-app functionalities

Odoo 20’s most exciting AI features will span across all apps.

Ask AI system-wide search

In Odoo 20, you can use the Ask AI agent that handles natural language queries to summarise ticket complaints, find specific stock moves, or locate the latest PO from a supplier.

Cross-module record updates

Users can instruct the system to build, update, or batch-modify records across any database table using standard voice recordings or text prompts.

Native voice input for AI

Odoo 20 is integrating deep speech-to-text functionality directly into the interface. Users can verbally prompt AI agents, dictate complex notes, and trigger processes entirely hands-free.

Smart document auto-sorting

Odoo AI automatically renames files and sorts them into the correct folders. It also creates the logical next activities, like tagging a document, requesting a signature, or drafting an email

Accounting

Accounting Audit AI agent

Odoo wants to make financial management more accessible with AI.

The new Odoo 20 “Accounting Audit” AI agent acts as a virtual financial controller, autonomously running quarterly or monthly treasury and finance checklists. +

It reviews bank statements, checks reconciliations, flags anomalies, and delivers a structured summary of its findings in plain language.

  CRM & Sales

AI agent for lead scoring, qualification & reassignment

Odoo 20 actively analyses customer behaviour, communication history, and engagement patterns to identify and bring up high-potential opportunities. 

AI agents will also autonomously scan CRM for unwon or neglected leads assigned to specific reps and reassign them based on performance metrics or predefined criteria.

 Website 

Odoo 20 will introduce a new Website Assistant AI agent to replace manual web design:

Chat with the AI agent, and it will apply any changes to your website immediately on the page. Users can:

  • Edit and update pages with a text prompt

    • Add and change block styles like CTA buttons, image shapes, font size, etc.

    • Create content, e.g., writing copy, changing existing captions, and editing the tone

  • Create and add AI-generated images directly on the website builder

  • Generate  entire web pages from scratch.


 Helpdesk

AI Sidekick

Odoo 20 introduces a new AI agent that automatically summarises lengthy chatter conversations and customer complaints.

It can also draft context-aware follow-up replies based on successful solutions from similar historical tickets.

 Project & Timesheets

Autonomous project generation

Odoo 20 AI can read uploaded files, such as Technical Design Document PDFs or client briefs, and automatically build out a complete project with appropriate stages and sub-tasks.

Background time tracking AI assistant

Odoo 20 will introduce a new privacy-focused AI agent that monitors actions such as pull request merges and chats in the background. Based on that, it automatically suggests grouped time entries by project, including activities like emails and code reviews.

Odoo 20 AI can use external files (PDF design documents, client briefs) and internal knowledge to create projects, map out stages, and assign tasks.


But a global Knowledge Base / SOP companion is not yet confirmed.

Text-to-SQL data querying for advanced BI in Odoo.

While Odoo 20 allows users to query standard database records using natural language phrases, text-to-chart BI hasn’t been announced as a feature yet.
