Here are all the essential ERP and Odoo news of November you should not miss.
News from Odoo HQ
Official updates and posts from Odoo’s headquarters, Odoo employees, and Odoo founder Fabien Pinckaers.
Odoo 19 Functional Certification is now available
The Odoo 19 Functional Certification is now available for Odooers.
It covers all key apps, from CRM and Sales to Accounting, Inventory, HR, and more. Passing the exam helps showcase expertise and is factored into determining partner levels: Ready, Silver, or Gold.
We expect many Odooers to get certified in the coming months and strengthen their project skills.

Odoo 19.1 will bring improvements for POS
Odoo’s founder & CEO, Fabien Pinckaers, just shared a sneak peek into a revamped floor plan editor for the restaurant POS. We expect to see this in the upcoming 19.1 release.
Users will be able to create a floor plan directly with a detailed drag-and-drop feature to add & resize:
- Tables
- Kitchen stations
- Doors for entry & exit
- Bathrooms
- Decorations
- And more!
This improvement follows a trend we’ve seen for the past two years at Odoo Experience, where POS has become more prominent.

Odoo Partner Day 2026 date is set
Odoo Partner Day already has a date for 2026: April 2nd!
Last year, this event revealed exciting sneak peeks like:
- The launch of an ESG app
- Features from the new AI app
- A new Odoo Partner page, including new metrics like customer retention and certified experts.
Let’s see what new surprises Odoo has in store for us in 2026!
Odoo Experience 2026 dates have been published
Odoo Experience 2026 has been announced (quite early, we might add) for September 24-26.
Odooers will be wrapping up on a Saturday again.
Odoo tested this more family-friendly date this year for the very first time, and by the looks of it, it helped to attract a larger audience.
You can already register, so go ahead and grab that early-bird ticket deal now!

Odoo hits 40M€ MRR
Odoo founder & CEO Fabien Pinckaers just shared that Odoo crossed 40 million euros in monthly recurring revenue.
This great milestone is a strong sign that Odoo’s combination of open-core strategy and integrated business apps has scaled into true enterprise territory.
This kind of growth curve is rare in the ERP space. It signals a bigger market trend:
- Companies are actively moving away from heavy, traditional ERP setups
- There’s growing demand for platforms that are modular, affordable, and scalable without complexity.
Odoo beats record of 13K clients per month
This month truly is full of milestones for Odoo: Fabien also announced that Odoo reached a new record of staggering 13,000+ new clients per month!
Community talk
All the hot topics and discussions Odoo users are buzzing about this month.
E-invoicing laws increase Odoo adoption in the EU
By 2030, the EU will require e-invoicing for all B2B transactions, and companies are being pushed to digitise quickly.
Discussions in the Odoo community suggest that adoption is increasing as a result.
Many businesses are turning to Odoo because it natively supports Peppol, Europe’s e-invoicing standard, making compliance easier and faster. With mandates rolling out over the next few years, demand for accounting-savvy Odoo partners is expected to stay high.
Upcoming deadlines for mandatory e-invoicing:
- Belgium: January 2026
- Croatia: January 2026
- France: September 2026
- Germany: January 2027 (Peppol or other certified formats)
- Greece: February 2026
- Latvia: January 1, 2028
- Poland: February 2026
- Slovenia: January 2028
- Spain: 2027
- United Kingdom: 2029
- All EU (cross-border B2B transactions): July 1, 2030
Odoo 19 upgrades are now rolling out!
Users have started upgrading to the newest version across Odoo online, Odoo.sh & on-premise.
Upgrades are now available across all platforms for custom systems.
Odoo doubles down on accounting training in Benelux
Odoo is intensifying its e-invoicing and Peppol training.
They’ve been hosting over 4 in-person training sessions for 500+ entrepreneurs every week in parallel across Belgium & Luxembourg.
We wonder if this will expand across even more markets.
New Inventory valuation cheat sheet for Odoo 19
Odoo 19 now has a new cheat sheet for inventory valuation.
It explains the different costing methods and the changes in how inventory affects accounting.
The update helps users understand the new Perpetual method, which now posts at the invoice level instead of every stock move.

Odoo 19 introduced a new invoice review workflow
Odoo 19 introduces a multi-level invoice approval process with colour-coded statuses (To Review → Reviewed → etc.). This means that:
- Large companies finally get an audit-friendly approval flow
- Reduces financial risk + prevents unauthorised payments
- Helps enterprises satisfy compliance requirements (SOX, internal audits, etc.).
This is one of the most enterprise-ready accounting features Odoo has shipped so far.
News from the ERP world
Headlines from the ERP world you shouldn’t miss.
Workday acquires Pipedream
Workday, the cloud ERP for HR and finance, is acquiring Pipedream, a low-code platform with thousands of prebuilt connectors to popular apps like Jira, Slack, Salesforce, and HubSpot.
The goal is simple: let Workday’s AI act automatically across different apps, updating records, sending messages, or syncing information, without people having to do it manually.
Thanks to Workday’s new Data Cloud and BigQuery access, the AI can now see live ERP data in real time and use it to trigger actions in other systems directly.
Still, users remain sceptical. Reddit discussions point out ongoing performance bottlenecks in Workday, and there’s concern that Pipedream could become just another paid module rather than a core improvement.
The acquisition is expected to close by early 2026.
SAP proposes settlement to EU antitrust investigation
SAP was put under investigation for making it too hard or too costly for customers to switch providers.
In a market that pushes for cloud fairness, locking customers and preventing them from understanding what they’re paying for is a red flag.
The settlement includes offering concessions like easier customer switching and greater fee transparency, including eliminating the reinstatement fee.
The EU is now gathering public feedback from customers and rivals before making a final decision.
Oracle's hacked data used for extortion
Oracle's E-Business Suite was hacked, and the stolen data is now being used for extortion campaigns.
Oracle EBS was compromised by the Clop ransomware group, which exploited two critical zero-day vulnerabilities in the software.
This security failure allowed hackers to steal sensitive personal and financial data from EBS users, including high-profile customers like The Washington Post and Harvard University.
