Odoo 19 brings improved UX and some brand-new features
Every year, the main highlight of the Odoo Experience is the reveal of Odoo’s latest version, and Odoo 19 has already been creating a buzz for a while.
This year’s release stands out for three reasons: entirely new apps aimed at larger companies, the growing role of embedded AI, and many workflow refinements that make day-to-day work in Odoo smoother.
The new apps set the tone.
ESG will help companies keep track of sustainability reports and stay compliant with upcoming EU requirements and other regulations.
Equity, the latest addition, is designed to bring ownership and shareholder management into one integrated system - processes that are typically handled in separate tools.
Three new apps introduced in Odoo 19: AI, ESG and Equity.
Alongside these, Odoo 19 continues to polish the user experience. Minor releases leading up to the launch have already hinted at what’s to come:
- Background logic to support predictive inputs
- Automatic field suggestions
- Smarter document parsing
- Prompt-based server actions
- Editor assistance
- Custom AI fields
- And more!
Taken together, these updates point in the same direction: Odoo is adding crucial functionality for bigger organisations, expanding its AI-driven capabilities, and continues to improve the system to feel more natural to use for everyone.
AI will take centre stage at Odoo Experience
Still, this year, the main spotlight will be on Odoo’s investment in AI, as version 19 is set to introduce a highly anticipated AI app.
