Odoo turned 20 this year and went all out with the biggest Odoo Experience yet.
Here's everything you missed from this year’s event: the top Odoo 20 features worth knowing, key talks to catch up on, and where Odoo is heading in the future.
Odoo 20 was revealed in Brussels, at the end of a global event tour
The Odoo Experience (OXP) has historically been held at the Brussels Expo. In 2026, on its 20th anniversary, Odoo took its flagship event on the road for the first time.
Regional events in Mexico City, the United States, Kenya and India gave local audiences an early preview of Odoo 20 throughout September.
But staying true to tradition, the official release of v20 was reserved for the opening keynote delivered by CEO Fabien Pinckaers in Brussels on 24 September. Check it out:
Beyond Fabien’s Odoo 20 keynotes, the Odoo Experience agenda featured a diverse lineup of invited speakers, covering topics ranging from AI to digital sovereignty and transitioning to sustainable energies.
Odoo's own teams presented what's new across the apps. A few talks for our top picks:
Odoo MCP: A technical deep-dive into AI connectors: A look under the hood at how Odoo connects to AI tools via MCP

Odoo changes its pricing for Europe
Alongside the release, Odoo announced its first European price change in four years, as well as a new Light User type at a reduced price.
One-App free plan: no changes
Standard Plan: no changes
Custom Plan: 20% increase for new users
Light users: a new reduced-price user type, from €7.90 per month depending on the country.
Existing users on the Custom Plan will see a maximum increase of 7% per year at renewal, in line with Odoo's subscription agreement.
To get the Light User price, customers need to be on Odoo 20 and sign a new Enterprise agreement.
The newly introduced Light Users get access to a limited set of apps:
As users: Time Off (for themselves), Expenses, Appraisals, Attendances, Referrals, Planning + Field Service, Inventory Barcode Operator, and read-only Knowledge
As employees: Payslips, Point of Sale, Shop Floor, and all other apps a user has access to.
Top new features in Odoo 20 you should not miss
Odoo 20 introduced hundreds of changes across more than 50 apps, on top of updates to localisations and industry packages. These are the top features that we think will have the most impact on your day-to-day work:
1. Native MCP server
You can now connect your Odoo to your AI assistant via MCP (Model Context Protocol).
2. Autonomous AI agents that can create and update records
AI agents can now run on their own, either when an automation rule is triggered or at a set time. Users can check the automation chats to see how an agent handled each run and ask for changes based on the errors it faced, and agents can update themselves to best serve their use cases. Users can also ask an AI agent to create anything and to update existing records. These requests can also be voice-dictated directly to the agent.
3. New AI assistants
In Accounting, users have a new AI accounting agent that offers insights into their company's finances, based solely on the accounting data in their database. On the website, the AI Website Assistant can now create new web pages, edit snippets, add images from Unsplash or generate them, and create or edit web forms and menus. It can draw inspiration from other websites, use database records such as products or events, and replicate an existing page from a URL.
What about AI security in Odoo 20?
The new AI features look great, but how safe are they with live business data?
The Odoo 20 native MCP server respects user access rights and is read-only by default. But once write actions are enabled, the AI can change records without approval, and there’s no audit log to record what it did.
The Odoo MCP Server by much. was built with security at its core. AI assistants connect through a secure OAuth 2.1 Odoo login. They can only reach the data admins allow, and ask for approval before changing anything. Every action and denied request is recorded in Odoo, so you always know what the AI did.
The module is currently available for Odoo 16-19 (Enterprise & Community) and coming soon for Odoo 20.
4. Cross-company purchase order matching
When sales orders, purchase orders, and invoices are synchronised between companies, synchronised vendor bills are now automatically matched with the synchronised purchase orders.
5. Intercompany flows
One company can now resupply another using routes, and a sales order can be sent from another company's warehouse or pickup points. The valuation costs of transferred products are carried over between companies, and changes to linked sales and purchase orders, such as price or quantity, are passed on to the other company.
6. Automated cross-sell suggestions
Odoo can automatically generate accessory, optional and alternative products for eCommerce.
7. Improved offline mode
Records can be created, edited, archived, unarchived and deleted while offline, and previously run searches can still be executed without a connection.
8. New mobile app UX/UI
Swiping down on the mobile app home screen now opens the command search bar for menus and actions. Date pickers now slide up from the bottom of the screen and also work on tablets. Forms have been improved to work on touchscreens, and a new login screen supports secure authentication.
*Note that all AI features now require credits, which can be acquired via IAP (in-app purchases).
